BPAG1 tail (green) and peripherin (red); the resulting yellow overlapping
pattern shows the interaction between the two proteins. On the right, the
cell is cotransfected with BPAG1 tail and NFL/NFH; the coassembled filaments are seen in red and do not overlap with the green BPAG1 tail
staining. The confocal images were obtained with a Zeiss LSM 410 laser
