Cover picture:Distribution of traction forces exerted by a goldfish fin fibroblast on its underlying substrate. Traction forces per unit area were calculated throughout the cell area based on the deformation of a flexible substrate, and the magnitudes rendered as different colors and intensities to allow the visualization of both force distribution and iso-magnitude contours.
